Automate Grocery Shopping List with Notion｜Database (1)

We come here become we like the idea of automating our grocery shopping. Let talk about how to create one ourselves in Notion. The first step is to create two databases:the recipe database and the ingredient database. The following are the details:

• My Recipe DB: keep the recipes.​
  
• The key is listing all of the required ingredient which Refers to the My Ingredient DB. In the setup, weather  property is called "↗Ingredients.
  
• Another important properties indicates if we select the recipe as part of our meal plan. The property is called the "☑️Selected" Property.
• My Ingredient DB: keeps the ingredients.
  • The key is associate ingredients with the recipe, the property is  "My Recipe."
  • We also need rollup property
    
  • My Recipe Selection to shows the "☑️Selected" property values.
  • A formula property "isShopping" to turn "My Recipe Selection" values into a "Yes/No" list
  • A formula property "ShoppingList" to show check for if the ingredient is on the shopping list
  • A check property "Purchased" to check if the item is purchased.
• Filter
  • All items with isShopping contain Yes, and Purchased is not checked.
• Views:
  • • Board View Grouped by Tags
    • List View with Tables (Hiding the isShopping Property)
  • Everything (no filter, all Properties)
