Book | Atomic Habits by James Clear  (2018)

9/17/2022

“You should be far more concerned with your current trajectory than with your current results.” - James Clear, The Atomic Habits
The Atomic Habit:: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear talks about a challenging problem for everyone: how to build a new habit. The process is complicated because of making a change. The book then gives a practical approach to establishing habits starting from minor changes.

The approach discussed in the book is practical and worth trying to make positive life changes. The book suggests three actions:
  1. Nudging to create an environment encouraging new habits.
  2. Making the initial step easy to establish the initial momentums.
  3. Making the habit stick by joining a community or keeping giving rewards.
Editor's Note (10/3/2023): Habit building is the foundation of taking life-changing advice like the ones discussed in The 5 AM Club for time management, You are Not Your Brain for dealing with  negative thoughts.
