Entertaining ourselves with reading is a great pastime. Prior to reading our blog, learn how to let ChatGPT help you out with basic book summary. Our discussion will commence after that.

Book | Medical Medium Life-Changing Foods (2016)

8/16/2023

“Food is meant to be a joyful part of your life."  - Anthony William
We are what we eat. To stay healthy and fit, we can learn valuable advice from the book Medical Medium Life-Changing Foods: Save Yourself and the Ones You Love with the Hidden Healing Powers of Fruits and Vegetables. It will take a lot of work to remember everything from the book. Therefore, I will briefly summarize one thing to remember for the recommended foods. I hope this helps you memorize the critical information and integrate it into your daily life.

Fruit. Apple plays a role in hydrating, cleansing, and purifying the organs. Apricot stabilized the energy. Avocados soothe the gut and restore our nerve systems. Banana enhances B12. Berries nourish the brain and serve as antioxidants. Cherry cleans livers. Cranberry heals urinary infections. Dates help the digestive system. Fig and Papaya improve gut health. Grapes are the ultimate kidney tonic and liver-cleansing food—Kiwi release stress. Lime and Lemons offer bioactive calcium. Mango is the miracle sleep aid. Melons thin the blood. Orange supplies Vitamin C.  Pears strengthen the stomach. Pomegranates build blood.

Vegetable. Artichoke brings terrific nutrition. Asparagus is for anti-aging. Celery is a potent anti-inflammatory food. Cucumber hydrates at cellar level. Onions keep down bacterial overgrowth. Radishes prevent heart disease by increasing good cholesterol and lowering bad cholesterol. Sprouts & Micro-greens bring back vitality.

Herb and Spices. Thyme, sage, rosemary, and oregano destroy viruses, fight fungus, and are antibacterial. Cilantro gives heavy metal detoxification. Garlic kills unproductive bacteria. Gingers reactive. Lemon Balm calms the nerve's indigestion and brings a sense of peace. Parsley (better with coconut water) detoxifies and keeps oral bacteria away. Turmeric gives anti-inflammatory benefits. Burdock roots rehabilitate the liver. Coconut water provides neurotransmitter support.

Food to Avoid. Avoid dairy when you have inflammation, corn when you have acne, numbness, or diarrhea, eggs when you have brain fog and congestions, wheat when you feel tired or nauseous, canola oil when you have hair loss or intestinal spasms, and natural flavor at all conditions.

In summary, as discussed in the IKIGAI lifestyle, simply putting a variety of food on the table harmonizes the serving table if you need help remembering everything. Take simple choices. Make food a friend, not an enemy.
