The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference by Malcolm Gladwel is a book explaining why something suddenly becomes very popular. Giadwel give us three main reasons:

• (The Law of the Few) Make information visual and specific so that it can spread easily, spontaneously and quickly among people.
• (The Stickiness Factor) Find the "individual" that plays a crucial role in spreading the word. These people could be domain experts, people having influences, or people who love to share. 
• (The Power of Context) The epidemic should first be created in many controlled small-scale groups.

• ​The tipping point is that magic moment when an idea, trend, or social behavior crosses a threshold, tips, and spreads like wildfire.

• To be someone's best friend requires a minimum investment of time. More than that, though, it takes emotional energy. Caring about someone deeply is exhausting.

Keeping things under 150 just seems to be the best and most efficient way to manage a group of people.
