Thought | Who am I?8/25/2019 Since the beginning of civilization, humans have been pondering three profound questions: "Who am I?" "Where did I come from?" and "Where do we go?" These inquiries stem from our inherent desire to comprehend our Identity and Self-awareness (Who am I?), Origins and Existence (Where did I come from?), and Destiny and Mortality (Where do we go?). Who am I? Is the fundamental question because we can only find our origin and future after we know who we are. After reading some recent material, I came up with an idea that I'd like to share regarding this topic.
Firstly, we are composed of physical and spiritual parts. The physical part is our body. The spiritual part is our mind includes the conscious and subconscious mind. The conscious mind is logical thinking and generates ideas, while the subconscious mind is use emotions and feelings to influence our actions. In order to know who we are, we have to understand the subconscious part of our mind. We need to be aware of our feelings and understand them. We also need to control our feelings so that we can realize our ideas. There have been many theory on how to visualizing our desires and changing our subconscious mind to achieve desired results. Second, Knowing who we are is not a one-time answer because we are constantly changing. We develop our personality, and we grow and change during our lifetime. However, the important thing to achieving a mature understanding of who we are is to constantly understand our feelings and emotions and be able to control them.
