I recently read John Deere's book, "Measure What Matters," where he discusses the story of Google. It's surprising to learn that when Google entered the market, it was the 18th search engine available. Google didn't invent the search engine but developed a new page ranking algorithm that significantly improved search quality. By the time Google launched, everyone had already recognized the importance of search engines, but those who could do it better ultimately succeeded.
This shows that it's never too late to enter the market with new technology or ideas and improve upon them. There is often a greater chance of achieving success in this approach.
