Now, a big lesson learns: exercise is undeniably beneficial for our health, but it also carries the potential for injury or damage to our well-being. Just like anything else, exercise has both positive and negative aspects. This made me remember last year at Zion National Park. While traveling on the Narrows through the Virgin River, I found an old lady who fell and hurt severely. She didn't rent the professional booth nor carry any recommended sticks. The situation is terrible because no call can be made from inside. People have to run out to get 911. We have to protect ourselves from any sport.
Talking about workouts protection, we need to gradually warm up with stretching, take sufficient rest breaks during the session, and cool down afterward. These precautions have been emphasized by many experts, highlighting their significance. Pushing ourselves too hard without allowing our bodies to adapt can lead to strains, sprains, and even more severe conditions. Recognizing the signs of overtraining and listening to our bodies to avoid such mishaps is crucial.
So lace up our shoes, take a deep breath, and embark on a safer and healthier exercise together.
