How to Use Largest Wheat Theory to Make a Choice

4/22/2018

Talk about making choices? Let me share a story that Socrates once told his followers.

One day, three followers of Socrates asked his teacher what love is? Socrates asked them to go to the wheat field first and pick the largest and golden wheat. The first follower walked a few steps and couldn't wait to pick out what he believed to be the largest but found that many larger ones followed. The second follower always expected a large one later and didn't pick any wheat at the end. The third person divides the wheat field into three parts. During the first 1/3, he observed the three types of large, medium, and small. In the second 1/3, He verified his estimation. In the third 1/3, he picked the largest and most beautiful one based on his knowledge.

The teacher said: This is "love." Life is like walking through the wheat fields, only walking once, not looking back. To find your own best wheat, you must have great courage and considerable effort.
Editor's Notes: Applying the wheat theory daily is "not for the best, but the better." Of the three disciples here, the first represents the flash marriage. When you meet someone who feels right, you will get married quickly without thinking. However, you will find that the other party is not your ideal partner after marriage. The second had a picky mentality. He didn't understand what he wanted, so he always picked and picked it up. As a result, this didn't work, that didn't work either. He missed both the best and the relatively good ones. The last has a more clear mindset. He knows what his partner should be; maybe he found not the most beautiful, not the best, but she must be the most suitable and seize the opportunity. This is also a game theory.
