The 365 Teatime | 007 Research on a Historical Topic - Project MKUltra

6/22/2024

We can use teatime to research a historical topic. History sometimes is disappointing. Project MKUltra is one of them. It was a covert CIA program initiated in 1953 and conducted until 1973, aimed at developing mind control techniques for use in interrogations and psychological warfare. Under the direction of Sidney Gottlieb and approved by then-CIA Director Allen Dulles, the program involved a series of unethical experiments on human subjects without their consent. These experiments included the administration of drugs like LSD, hypnosis, sensory deprivation, and other forms of psychological manipulation. The project sought to produce a "truth drug" for interrogations and explore methods of mind control, often resulting in severe mental and physical harm to the subjects.

The 365 Teatime | 006 Learning a New Concept -Penetration Testing

6/21/2024

Today's teatime is simple. Let's delve into a computer science concept: Penetration testing, often referred to as 'pen testing,'  which is an authorized simulated cyberattack on a computer system. In the face of escalating cyber threats, organizations perform pentests using tools like Burp Suite to evaluate system security, underscoring the importance of this practice.

A quick research on the market size, growth and key growth drivers reveals an exciting prospect: The global penetration testing market is projected to grow significantly, from approximately USD 2.20 billion in 2023 to around USD 6.35 billion by 2032, with a CAGR of 12.6%. This robust growth is driven by the increasing frequency of cyberattacks, stringent regulatory requirements like GDPR, and the adoption of cloud computing. North America leads the market, while Asia Pacific is expected to see the highest growth rate. Despite the challenges of high costs and the need for skilled professionals, the market segments by testing types such as network, web application, mobile application, and cloud penetration testing, offering a wealth of opportunities.

The 365 Teatime | 005 Eye Relaxation

6/20/2024

This teatime brings my attention back to my eyes. Learning how to massage the eye to relax. Additionally, remember to follow the 20-20-20 rule (taking a 20-second break every 20 minutes to look 20 feet away or roll eyes) to reduce strain, and wear sunglasses with UV protection to safeguard the vision.

The 365 Teatime | 002 Create a Video Journal using Canva

6/17/2024

The arcade and pinball games at Pinstack may be old, but they always bring an amazing time to a family visit. This time, I decided to test creating a short video to capture the memories using a Canva vlog template. Well, despite having all my photos and music ready, it still took around 30 minutes. Crafting a video truly takes time.

The 365 Teatime | 001 Read a Book about Freemasonry

6/15/2024

"The Spirit of Masonry! He who would describe that spirit must be a poet, a musician, and a seer—a master of melodies, echoes, and long, far- sounding cadences. " -Joseph Fort Newton, The Builders: A Story and Study of Freemasonry
The most intriguing way to spend tea time is to settle into a cozy chair, let your favorite music create an ambient backdrop, and delve into a chapter of a book. Reading and learning not only exercise our minds but also open doors to unexplored realms, leading us on thrilling journeys of discovery. Life is an adventure, and books are the keys to unlocking new territories.

Today, we embarked on a journey of intellectual growth with Joseph Fort Newton's book The Builders: A Story and Study of Freemasonry (1914) . This insightful exploration of Freemasonry, its history, symbolism, and philosophy was enriched by research using ChatGPT, Google Search, YouTube videos, and online reading. It's our natural inclination to seek information that expands our minds.

Knowing the Masonary principle that Freemasonry beholds is brotherly love, relief, and truth.  " One thing that makes it difficult to know the truth now is fake knowledge and bogus news. A generative AI engine like ChatGPT can sometimes craft something out of the blue. So, I like how it starts to quote the information sources now so we can definitively judge the trustworthiness of each source and make decisions on what we should trust or not despite our limited capability. Recently, I heard a saying, "Ignorance means that you believe what others say." It makes sense. Therefore, I like Freemasonry's concept of seeking knowledge and truth.

Today's teatime opens my world to mysterious organizations that might manipulate the world and build new orders. A similar organization worth reading about later is the Illuminati.
